Simple Sunday Dress

This was probably the easiest dress I have ever made! I got the pattern from http://sewsensible.blogspot.com/ .
It was made up of a bodice, skirt, ruffle "sleeves", tie closure in the back and big bow on the front. That is it! Using the serger really finished the seams nicely but it can easily be made with French Seams (the pattern includes the instructions for this too).
I will definetly be making it again. I think the next one I will monogram Caroline's name on it.

Getting motivated again...

I haven't had the desire to sew or monogram since the holidays. Kind of got burned out. But...monogrammed an Easter outfit for a customer and it has kick started me. This is a little swing top and bloomer outfit for Caroline. I bought the outfit but did the applique and monogram.

Found this really cute website with emboidery designs called Lynnie Pinnie (http://lynniepinnie.com/shop/index.php) where I found this applique and font.

Up next a super cute dress called Simple Sunday Dress. Stay tuned...

Smocking

I smocked a dress for Caroline's first birthday. It has a C in the center and cupcakes on each side (thank you Lindsay for the help on the cupcakes!).

I also smocked a one all for Luke's first birthday. It has an L in the center and geometric smocking around it. Here is how they turned out...

Caleb used coupons!

I sent Caleb to Kroger this morning with 4 coupons. They were...

2 coupons for $4/2 La Victoria Salsa
2 coupons for B1B1 Free SoBe waters

Everything was on sale plus if you bought 10 participating items you get $5/off your total order which brought his total to $0.04! That's right 4 cents!

and this is what he came home with...

I love deals! Now I think I have my husband hooked too!
