Most everyone knows that this past winter my family and I moved to the east coast. It has been a HUGE time of adjustment for us all but we feel we are following God's will for our lives.
As a result things have been slow around here at Couponing Friends. Even though you can't see it I have been working behind the scenes to bring everyone a new and improved group. I started Couponing Friends as a way to help my friends and family learn how to EASILY save their families money. Our little group has grown to include Couponing Friends from all over the country.
It is very exciting to see our group grow but at the same time it has presented some new challenges for me. Many, many, many people want to learn how to coupon like the folks on t.v. They want to go to the grocery store and buy loads and loads of things and pay $0 at the register. While I have been able to do that it is not common practice. I strive to save 60-75% off of our weekly grocery budget.
When Angelina joined in to help me teach coupon classes we had several long talks about the practices of couponing. Many a nights we spent walking the aisles of Kroger together searching for deals and talking. We decided very early on that we would only teach ethical couponing. We were not going to fall in to the "Extreme Couponing" fad and we would never coupon in an unethical way. Our goal, we decided, was to be couponing long after the glamour of couponing had faded.
That is what I want to pass on to all of you. The only way that Angelina and I can pass that on to you all is to continue what we started 2 years ago. Bringing you the best deals we can find whether it is a savings of 25% or 100%.
The couponing world is ever evolving. We will always strive to keep everyone up to date on changes we are aware of. Now that I am on the east coast and she is the south it has become a little more difficult but we are willing to continue trying as long as you want us.
My darling hubby and hard working brother are working on a new and improved site. One that is easier to navigate and well, pretty :). I am working on updating our class notes which will be available for everyone to see and utilize. For the time being neither Angelina or I will be teaching classes. We are spending this time praying and seeking God's will in this little ministry of ours.
You must remember that blogging is not our full time job. We both have families and are always on the go. BUT couponing is a passion for both of us and helping others save falls right in line with that. We will both continue posting deals and answering questions but just like our group name implies we are all FRIENDS. Friends help each other out. So if you see a great deal, please share!

ReplyDeleteI took your class over a year ago and learned a lot. I am not by any means at the level you all are at but save 30-40% on a regular basis and it makes my day. It has been a huge blessing to my family and I appreciate all you both do to continue to teach all of us how to save for our families.
